Grand Teton National Park is home to not only some of the most striking mountain peaks in the world, but abundant exotic wildlife and beautiful forests as well. In autumn, it's common for storms to blanket the range in snow, while the surrounding cottonwood and aspen groves are adorned with vibrant, gold leaves. In this five day workshop, Joe and I will be letting the weather and lighting conditions guide us through the range and forests in order to maximize our time during this phenomenal season.WORKSHOP INFOFor this workshop in Grand Teton National Park, each participant will need to drive themselves. However, we will condense vehicles and car-pool to make it easier to get around and find parking. We will start at our meeting point on day one, which will be provided after signing up. On the first day, we will meet and greet in the afternoon and then set out together for our first sunset excursion. Days 2-4 will allow us to photograph both sunrise and sunset, with some time during the day to rest and recharge. On day 5, the workshop will conclude after photographing sunrise.We will remain flexible in order to maximize on the lighting and weather conditions we are presented with and photograph whatever kind of scenery would be best complemented by them. However, we will likely be photographing mountain scenes in different locations for our sunrise and sunset outings, and more intimate scenes of fall foliage in the aspen and cottonwood groves during the late morning and afternoon. This time of year offers an abundance of subject matter and we hope to help you experience as much of it as possible. Wildlife can frequently be spotted while we are at different locations or in between outings as we are driving on the road. This workshop will be suitable for any photography skill level, whether you are just getting started or have been at it for a long time. We are both well experienced in teaching basic photo theory and camera settings. But really, what we are most passionate about is teaching our unique philosophies and approaches to nature photography, which will allow you to really think outside of the box to capture unique images regardless of the weather conditions. Grand Teton National Park in the fall is a fantastic setting to experiment and explore your creativity!LODGING & TRANSPORTATIONWhile the price of lodging is not included with the workshop, we have already reserved rooms in the Rockwell Inn in Jackson Hole, WY for all of our clients and will coordinate the booking process with you directly. Of course, if you would prefer to find other accommodations, such as one of the campgrounds or another hotel, that is perfectly fine as well. We had good weather for taking some incredible shots with sunrise mist and soft late afternoon sunsets .
Add to the weather a nice boat to ride around and Joseph ,who knows this area like his back yard,  and the results are 
fantastic ! 
We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone interested in something mystical and just beautiful as Caddo Lake !

The Photographing Fall Color & Processing Autumn Images — Live Masterclass exceeded all my expectations! As someone who loves capturing the magic of autumn but often struggles to bring out the rich tones and textures in post-processing, this masterclass was exactly what I needed.

Joe was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also engaging and easy to follow. The live demonstrations on editing fall images were a game-changer—especially the techniques for enhancing color without going overboard. Seeing real-time edits using Lightroom and Photoshop helped me finally understand how to make my own photos pop while still looking natural.

I also appreciated the opportunity to ask questions during the live session. The community aspect made it feel more like an interactive workshop than a standard tutorial.

Whether you're a hobbyist photographer or a more advanced shooter looking to refine your autumn workflow, this masterclass is an absolute gem. I walked away inspired, with a ton of new techniques I'm excited to try on my next fall photography outing.

Photographing Fall Color & Processing Autumn Images — Live Masterclass

Joe Rossbach continues to be an excellent presenter, well organized, well prepared and excellent knowledge of subject matter. Highly recommend.

I have had the privilege of attending two Joseph workshops this year.  The first was in Death Valley where we explored areas not seen by the general population.    The events started early and ended later in the evening. To allow for downtime, we had personal time during the middle of the day.   The time was used for editing  images and catching up on sleep.   Joseph demonstrated his editing techniques during this time as well.

The second workshop was at Glacier National Park. Even though heavily attended by tourists, we experienced more remote areas of the Park.  Joseph's ability to frame the images and share his knowledge is a highlight of his workshops.  The goal is to get it right in the camera initially and then the editing becomes much easier.  He has an excellent eye for composition and color management. 

Perhaps the best compliment one can give is attending multiple workshops.  All workshops seem to have repeat customers.  I am planning my fifth Rossbach workshop for next year.

The trip was well organized, and we visited a wide variety of photo spots.  Great group of people and really enjoyed Joe's leadership and support.  Would definitely take another workshop from him.  

I learned so much and my photography was taken to a whole new level in terms of technique, composition, equipment use, and editing. I also had a blast! Be prepared for adventure, spontaneity and some physical challenges with Joe as your scout and guide.

Low Country Photo Workshop (South Carolina/Georgia) w/ Joseph Rossbach

Joe and Kurt were great leaders and the shooting locations were a lot of fun.  I appreciated their shooting guidance and help throughout the workshop.  I found these locations to be great for infrared photography.  Be aware that hiking out to shooting locations in the sand dunes can be strenuous.  I had experience in Death Valley and the Alabama Hills, but I appreciated that they took us to shooting locations that I had not been to before.  I think you will enjoy this workshop.

Had a great time and took us to places I would never have seen by myself, very friendly and knowledgeable. Always creates a great atmosphere to be around.

Joe and Kurt are a balanced team of instructors that mentor and teach with encouraging insight and skill. We truly enjoy their company. We would never get to the places Joe finds without his exhaustive scouting prior to the workshop. Their expertise in all aspects of photography make for a very rich learning environment. 

This was a bucket list location for me. Joe helped me get the photos that I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to get. He is professional and a great teacher. This was my second workshop with Joe and I am looking forward to joining him on future workshops!

Caddo Lake Cypress Workshop

Joe went above and beyond to make sure that everyone was comfortable and getting the help they needed. There was a perfect blend of field and post-processing instructions. Joe was always there to answer any questions about camera settings, composition and basically anything that was needed. The small group size was perfect. He is a master at landscape photography and his passion for the subject is truly inspiring. I am looking forward to book another workshop with him.

I just returned from the Caddo Lake workshop and have downloaded more than 2,000 photos and am blown away by how many shots are are great. Joe is a great instructor who points in in the right direction to get the best shots, plus his Lightroom instruction is the best that I ever had, his knowledge of the lake and all the best spots for photography is unmatched due to his many years at Caddo Lake. I truly enjoyed this workshop with Joe and the two other participants. I was sorry that the end came so soon.

I'd been wanting to visit Caddo Lake for several years and chose to visit the swamp this fall with Joseph Rossbach Photography. His years of experience traveling and photographing Caddo Lake served me well to capture several images I was very happy with upon leaving Texas.
