I recently returned from Joe Rossbach’s Glacier National Park Photo Expedition, and I can say without hesitation that Joe is simply one of the best in the business. Joe is a master of light. More importantly, he has an extraordinary ability to anticipate it. He understands where you need to be, when you need to be there, and how to put you in the best possible position when everything comes together. Anyone can get lucky once in a while. Joe does it consistently, day after day, location after location. In all my years as a photographer, I’ve rarely seen anyone do that as reliably as he does. But a great workshop requires more than knowing where to point a camera. Joe is an exceptional leader and teacher. He knows Glacier intimately, reads changing conditions incredibly well, and works hard to give every photographer in the group the best possible opportunity to come home with meaningful images. There are plenty of photography workshops out there. If you’re considering taking one and want to learn from someone who understands landscape photography, light, location and the craft at the highest level, take one with Joe Rossbach. Simply the best in the business. Hands down.

I totally enjoyed this photography workshop in Glacier National Park with Joseph Rossbach. He provided great instruction and locations for shooting landscape and I learned a lot! I am looking forward to my next workshop with Joe in February 2027!

I attended "Field to Final Image " video tutorial. The information presented was very helpful and interesting. Unfortunately, the presentation ended with three sections rather than the four you ;mentioned at the beginning. Actual work in optimizing images was therefore limited. Joseph delivered in providing (more than) 4 hours of photographic art advice. The first portions reinforced the thought processes one should review when preparing to take a shot, much of which I had heard before although the reinforcement was beneficial. I appreciated the emphasis on the selection and simplification of the subject rather than the technical camera settings. The portion on Lightroom post-processing provided me with yet another approach to the "workflow", and I learned a bunch of new things about LR features which I had rarely used or didn't understand previously. Joseph illustrated his points with lots of shots, although I found that a number of them did not stand out for me.

It’s always a great trip with Joe. Fantastic locations at the right time to capture great shots. Highly recommended!
